Celebrations - Engagement Anniversary

This past Friday 11/27/2020 marked a year from when Ryan proposed to me on top of Mauna Loa ๐Ÿ˜I think that I want to make this a tradition and have us celebrate on that day when we became engaged. It truly was such a special and sweet time. I will never forget it. Today we had the plan of going back up to Mauna Loa to do the hike, but that did not happen. I slept in and we left a little late in the day down to Kona. We drove around and went shopping. We forgot that it was Black Friday. I don't like Black Friday and never will. Haha. It is just another day to shop till you drop and purchase things that you don't need.

After wandering around Target for awhile, we ended up driving down south Kona to dive at the park by Captain Cook's Landing. The current was pretty strong and we weren't going to catch any fish, but just to practice. It was fun! There was choke fish and it was very beautiful. It was pretty murky, but it was fun. I need to get my breathing and swimming conditioned.

After we dove, we started driving back home and we ended up going to Macaroni Grill in Waikoloa's King Shop for dinner. This surprised me, I was not expecting to go out, but I guess Ryan wanted to celebrate. I kind of forgot about that aspect, I was just happy to spend a day with him as part of our anniversary. We spoke later about how we want to make this a tradition for one of our anniversaries. We did go to McDonald's on the day that we got engaged because it was the only place open, and we had a good laugh about it. I think that we will keep this as a tradition as well, because Mickey D's has a special place in our hearts and in our family.
